Autolawn Euro Classic Car Show

The Hickory Museum of Art announces it’s 13th Annual Autolawn Party is an exciting, community event scheduled for Saturday, October 3, 2026, on the SALT Block North Lawn from 10 AM – 3 PM. The event is open to the public, and there is no charge for spectators, who can also vote for their favorite classic car. The celebration is centered around a European classic car show for the automotive enthusiast, but it’s far more than that. There’s something fun for everyone! The festivities include:

The Autolawn Party is an outdoor celebration of the road’s number one traveler – the automobile. Autolawn is unique in its size and scale having no more than 80 entrants. The intention is to provide a wide range of high-quality, original vehicles in an intimate yet informal setting, without the pressure of traditional concourse events.

This year’s theme, “Roll Out the Red Carpet,” celebrates Hickory Museum of Art’s reopening and the museum’s newest exhibition, “The Golden Thread,” featuring acclaimed fashion designer Charles Harbison. Registered drivers are invited to dress in the era of their vehicle, whether that means poodle skirts, bell bottoms, Members Only jackets, or another favorite time-period look. Costumes are optional but always add to the fun and festive atmosphere, and those who dress in the period of their car will be considered for the “Best in Theme” award.

Proceeds from the day’s events benefit the Museum’s educational programming. Autolawn is a rain-or-shine event.

Early Registration (August 3–September 3, 2026)
Guaranteed lawn parking for show vehicles
First vehicle: $40
Additional vehicles: $35 each
Guaranteed event entry

Standard Registration (September 4–October 1, 2026)
Registration fee: $45 per vehicle
Based on space availability

Driver check-in will take place from 8–10 AM on the day of the event.
