Sails Original Music Series

6pm under the Sails on Union Square

Sam Reider and the Human Hands

This San Francisco-born classical and jazz piano prodigy now plays jazz accordion - but like a thunder-storm, like Miles Davis, like no one else. His band smokes!

Gigi Dover and Big Love

She's a southern, sultry songstress - half bohemian snake charmer; half siren. Gigi and The Big Love are the best in the business to blend Americana and world music.

Amanda Anne Platt and The Honeycutters

Welcome back Amanda Anne. This band does rough-hewn alt/country as good as anyone. There's heartache, second chances, humor and those great melodies.

Mason Via and Hot Trail Mix

Here are some fresh faces for you! This rowdy bunch of whiz kids are making some serious noise. What's funny is their first CD was recorded at a library - shhhhhh!

Super Doppler

With Beatle-esque pop melodies, brother harmonies and a real nice horn section - this six-piece band will make dancers out of us all!

Orquesta GarDel

This large ensemble blends salsa rhythms with flavors of edgy jazz and funky Cuban dances. With horn players, percussionists, and coro singers - it's a party, ya'll!

The Digs

This potent ensemble brings their unique concoction of funk, soul, RnB and jazz to the Sails. This is powerful music - don't try this at home!

The Moon and You

Ryan Furstenberg (banjo, guitar) and Melissa Hyman (cello) write Baroque pop songs and travel the world seeking inspiration. They'll add a full band to their quirky sound!

Twisted Pine

Take exceptional songwriting, rich harmonies and willingness to take chances musically, and you've got Twisted Pine. They urge pop hooks from an acoustic ensemble!

Big Sound Harbor

"Retro soul" might best describe this band led by Dulci Ellenberger. It's got some old-school cool and that new school kick. Expect big crowds for the Big Sound Harbor!

Seth Walker

Seth describes himself as a "southern roots troubadour." With his terrific vocal chops and solid guitar talents, we think he's a Raul Malo - Eric Clapton love-child.

Howard Levy/Chris Siebold

A long-time composer/pianist/harmonica player with Bela Fleck and the Flecktones, Howard Levy is a force - he breathes in heart and blows out soul. Joined by guitarist Chris Siebold, this will be a night of music like no other!

Laurie Lewis and the Right Hands

Grammy-winning songwriter, singer, fiddler, guitarist and band leader Laurie Lewis brings world-class bluegrass to our stage! A great way to end our series for 2018!
