Dot is Back with Greenway's Find Me Fridays Starting June 15th

Every Friday from June 16th until August 24th, Dot the Greenway ambassador will be out in the community connecting people to some of the awesome places and events all over Catawba County within walking distance along the bus lines or paratransit services. Greenway wants to guide everyone to the great local offerings accessible from Greenway Public Transportation services.

In this fun way to give back to ridership, "Find Me Fridays" are virtual scavenger hunts; The rules are simple; Find "Dot" around town or on the bus by following the clues posted on Greenway Public Transportation's Facebook page, and Twitter account (@WPRTA). The first person to find "Dot" will win a prize that highlights the location "Dot" is found. All locations will be fully accessible by the fixed route bus lines.

"Find Me Fridays" will kick off June 16th 2018. Be sure to follow Greenway Public Transportation on Facebook or @WPRTA on Twitter.

These events are focused on giving back to the most vital part of public transportation, the ridership.

Passengers interested in receiving more information about the "Find Me Fridays" promotions, the fixed route system, and/or paratransit services should call the Dispatch office at 828-465-7634 Monday through Friday 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

If an agency is interested in participating in the Find Me Friday's Promotions, there is still time to do so. Please contact Amelia Bostic with Greenway Public Transportation at 828-465-7640 or by email at abostic@wprta.org.

Public transportation is vital to growing the community and it is a way to invest directly into the future. Greenway wants to be the provider that connects the dots between riders and adventure!

Anyone not able to access the bus stop because of a mental or physical impairment may contact Greenway to receive an ADA complementary paratransit application. Please call 828-464-9444 for more information. WPRTA is committed to ensuring that no person is excluded from participation in, or denied the benefits of its services on the basis of race, color or national origin as protected by Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, as amended.
